1million on London streets for Royal Wedding

BRITAIN embraced Royal Wedding fever today as the nation gathered together to watch the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

More than a million people flocked to line the wedding route in London and crowds appeared to be up to 20 deep in places.

Up to half a million massed outside Buckingham Palace to witness Wills and Kate kiss not once, but twice on the balcony.

More than 5,000 people are believed to have camped overnight in the Mall to bag a good spot to watch the wedding.

A sea of people had followed them down The Mall after the Royal Wedding, eager for a glimpse of their first embrace as a married couple.

The bride appeared to mouth "Oh wow" as she stepped out and was greeted by the vast crowd of flag-waving Royal fans.
